Andrew Posten from North Kitsap will be at 120 this year . Thank you for the 106 Ranking : ) Andrew has Pind travis Filleau 2 times, But that was in the Past . Travis is a Good Wrestler. This IS … ” A Hole New Year” Should Be Fun .
When are the 2a rankings coming out?
Roger
Burchett over Robertson .
Robertson beat burchett at Sundome.
Wade over Naslund @195. Monroe Tourny 12-15
Bloom FPHS 132: 7-2, one of the losses was a blood time DQ to Jon Day of North Mason while up in the third round 8-5. Also won the Patriot Dome pinning Keegan Mulholland of Washington in the finals.
Please note: You have Ephrata’s Tyrus Kemp at No. 4 in the 220-pound class 2A division, and he did start the season there. But Kemp has now dropped back to 195, so you will want to follow his there…and by the way, Kemp scored a 1-0 win over Raul Pech of Toppenish a couple of weeks ago.
What weight was that at when Kemp beat Pech? Where and when was it?
Derek Gilbert has beat Raul pech @ 220 2 times. Once at the dual meet for the cwac championships which othello has won 4 times in a row and the second time at districts which othello has also won for the 4th time in a row… Havent you heard the saying one your lucky twice your better…. Shouldent those two wins make him go up higher? And he went from 4 to 8th… How does that happen?
I beat him this weekend and the number one guy in the state today!!!!!! Take that!!!!
Why is Gabe Meyer not ranked at 132?? Gilbertson has him #4 All Class, not to mention he beat Leonard from DP 7-2 last night and Weger has him at #5??
I gave hime the ranking based on his decision over Reid. Wasn’t EV at Tri-state? I don’t see any results for Gabe there. What’s up?
After the dual against Colville, Gabe came up limping really bad. Come to find out he had been keeping a nagging knee injury to himself, just dealing with it as so many kids do. We believe it was a strained meniscus. Anyway he took several days off and came back against Deer Park feeling great and the knee is now a non-issue, thank God.
I do believe that Jacob Waller (195) from Clarkston is a senior. Wasn’t it his sophomore year when he placed 8th? Then he sat last year due to an injury.
Derek Gilbert beat Raul pech of Topenish
Josh hendon beat kyzer bailey 11-4 i believe at 182
How is Derek Gilbert of othello 8! If he beat Raul pech 8-5 at dual against toppenish… (220lbs)
Stanley Ruvinov 195 defeated Jacob Waller at the fife tournament 7-0
That would have been the wrong Jacob Waller or you got some names wrong, Clarkston doesn’t travel to the Fife tourney.
Jordon Logan from aberdeen at 285 pinned Hank Sherman in the second round of the match in the Mount Baker Tournament
Cole Rinehart from North Mason at 152 weight class as won my decesion Jason Barruss of Sultan 10-4 at North Mason Classic and also Vladimir Kalinin (ranked at 145) in a decesion 9-1 at the Larry Brown invitational at Fife High School
Still don’t understand why Derek Gilbert is at 7th he beat Raul pech of Topennish 8-5 almost pinned him too
Today Derek gilbert beat raul pech of Topenish 4-2 at districts (220) 2 times now.
Dave G. Get that right please for Derek gilbert at (220) He’s beat pech of toppenish 2 times now! 8-5 at their dual then at districts 4-2 !
Calm down Ben, rankings don’t mean anything… Let Derek wrestle, i’m sure he don’t care where he’s ranked. This is a high school wrestling site, i don’t think they need middle school kids here complaining about who’s where.
Bryce Brock over Jackson mills 8-6
Stello from Mark Morris beat Oviatt Ridgefield (113) weeks ago and Oviatt is still higher ranked even after not making it out of districts
How did dean Utterback move down the rankings after winning districts over mason Hamilton 10-2?
Actually the dean Utterback and mason Hamilton match it was 12-2 dean.
Dean Utterback over Jackson mills 9-5 and pinned Bryce Brock in finals. What a day
Thought that I could let someone know what happened to John White, who was ranked number 1 in state in his division. At Regionals, John was taken out with an illegal throw, I have a video of the opposing wrestler intentionally holding his arm down at the wrist and slamming him down on the mat head first. John’s head glances off the mat first, spraining those muscles at the top of his shoulder, then he takes the full impact at the point of his left shoulder, separating his AC. John continued to wrestle in pain that day. Next match he was pinned, and the opposing coach, North Mason, met John with an ice bag. Second match he lost by one point. Third match, which gave him 5th at Regionals, John won.
The most amazing thing is not that John continued wrestle with his left arm held at his side, wrestling one armed, but that he had a broken right wrist, that back in September/October he broke playing football. Many times I asked him if he needed to see the doctor, and he would say, if he didn’t use it it wold feel better. Shortly after John won Clark County, I made him go to the doctor, who sent him to an orthopedist, who did xrays and CAT scan on the wrist. It basically, was not going to get any better or worse without surgery, and the doctor left it up to John, who is 18, whether he wanted to wrestle or not. If you note the picture of John’s win at Clark County, he can’t extend his wrist and put any weight on it, so he would curl it back into a fist.
I was sorry to see him go as far as he did and do as well as he did, broken wrist and all, to have the opportunity taken away from him.
He had surgery last Thursday and hopefully the two pieces of bone will knit back together successfully if there is a good blood supply, otherwise if it doesn’t in three months, then he will have surgery again and have a bone graft and then three more months in a cast.
One proud mom, Barbara White
