How often are rankings updated?
There is no set schedule with the girls or the smaller divisions in boys. Not a lot of results to change the girls rankings with. I think he may put out an update just before districts. Same thing with B as there are not a lot of results posted by teams for the rankers to analyze.
Thank you.
Mackenzie Schwendeman (112) takes 1st at The Lady Wolfpack and was in the finals last week at Emerald Ridge losing in a close decision 7-4 to 4th Ranked Isis Wadleigh. She is making a strong comeback since being injured early season. She looks full strength and looks to be peeking at the right time.
145 Kylee Dekoekkoek (Nooksack Valley) Pinned #3 ranked Bianca Hernandez (Warden) in the third round at Dream Duals.
Also pinned #9 ranked Shelby Burress (Burlington Edison) in the first round at home Daul.
Also beat #3 ranked 155lb. Ruthie Karlberg in the finals match at Burlington Edison Tournament.
Thanks,
Coach P.
Bianca Hernandez (warden) pinned Kylee from Nooksack Valley at dream duals in the first round. Bianca had no losses at dream duals.
Thanks,
Joe Hernandez
Sonya Redbird is wrestling at subs at 145 lbs, not 155.
Mackenzie Schwendeman is the correct spelling for her name at 112.
Mackenzie schwendeman is in 11th grade.
155 Aniecea Camacho, placed top 5 in every tournament and placed first in NWC Championship at Nooksack High School, took 3rd at Lady Wolf Pack,
Coach P, she didn’t wrestle Bianca!!!!
Kylee won all three matches at Dream duals, Wrestled Bianca H. Got a take down in the first round, Defered to Bianca in the second, Bianca chose down, kyleee turned her first for a 3 pt. near fall, then again for a 2pt. near fall. 3rd round Kylee chose top, turned her again for a 2 count, to a pin with 17 sec. left on the clock.
Perhaps the books are wrong, I don’t claim to know all, But when reporting to the table to wrestle she claimed to be Bianca Hernandez.
Thanks,
and good luck to all in post season, see you at state!
I am Bianca’s dad & I was there. Bianca had no losses at dream duals. The girl Bianca wrestle From Nooksack, Bianca beat her in round 1. Bianca had no losses at dream duals. Sorry your information was wrong. See you at state.

I would like to know how you are making this list if rankings. Apparently you have not been following any of the reports of results I have posted? I feel as though your views are jaded and only covering mostly the east side of the state?I purposely posted those results so you could have a better view of who’s who but it seems it has not changed your results. Please explain to me your decision process in posting the rankings so I can have a better idea how they are done. Thank you
To Parent-
If you would read the instructions on the rankings page and follow the standard protocol for providing information then maybe the information provided would be considered.
Until the final rankings update which was just completed, the rankings are based on head-to-head results from tournaments that send in the brackets to DaveG and are subsequently posted to WWR. If there are no head to head results, the results against common opponents are the next best proxy. Unsubstantiated reports from parents are not included as you can see the problems based on the posts regarding Bianca Hernandez above.
Each ranking update requires about 5-6 hours of scrubbing brackets going all the way back to the beginning of the season to check on results against common opponents. The final set just posted is different in that it takes into account the actual state brackets posted to the WIAA site. I run the complete bracket based on past results and my own knowledge of the wrestlers which is significant as I watch many of the top girls year round including the freestyle season leading up to Jr National in Fargo. The result is my view on who the top 8 will be at State.
My rankings are not biased toward the east side of the state. The exact opposite is true. They are very biased toward girls on the west side of the state as there are more frequent events with posted brackets. Plus, I live on the west side and personally see those girls more often, know many coaches, etc. The east side gets almost no recognition until the final regional results and state brackets are posted.
Quit crying there just rankings see what happens at state this weekend! Lets take the time and thank them for even doing this!
To gnl fan… it was an honest question and not meant to offend. It just seemed like all the info being posted was from mainly the east side. I am grateful for the site but sincerely wanted to know. I read the article above about rankings but wanted a more direct answer like what stats they use etc. I would LOVE to see the other 3 regions posting stats. That would rock! But since those are not posted on here I have had to do my own research which is avaible with a bit of hunting and have decided that is a better way if gushing for me personally. I think it is great that at least someone even gives a crap about girls wrestling since the rest of the world doesn’t really even know it exists. So yes thank. you to this site for its efforts and thank you GNL FAN for calling me a whiner. You are correct… we will see at state who comes out on top. I apologize for any remark that has offended you
Yes we will Eastside has alot to bring this weekend. They are ready east valley, warden, Othello, Grandview, sunnyside, and Quincy it’s on!
