5. Heritage (and Coach Donnie McPherson) continued the streak, taking home team
honors for the 4th consecutive year.

gentleman in every way throughout the weekend.

10. The "Battle" featured 2 defending state champions.
11. Sophomore David Howard (125-Cadarcrest) pinned defending state champion
Bradley Muri (Steilacoom) in the finals.
12. Two state placers failed to place at this year's "Battle."
13. Two athletes placed higher at state than they did at the "Battle" while
several others matched their state placing.
14. Steilacoom coach Chris Wolfe had his own "Battle" champ in son Orion, and
his pride was evident.

This time I tried to keep up with results and I got most the good stuff. It was
a long tournament with some very tough matches. These are not official but
should be accurate.
Heritage won the tournament out of at least 24 teams.
103: Champion: Anthony Hayes
Runner up: Jeremy Kelsey
3rd.: Karlson Miller
4th: Chase Smith
5th: Derek Crouter
6th: Josh Shenkel
Smith looked good but had to wrestle a scrappy Kelsey 1st. round. Tough task for
a 9th grader.
112: Champion: Rickie Yeager
Runner Up: Jason Costello
3rd.: Phil Schorr
4th: Tommy Nguyen
5th: George Yousling
6th: Randy Bryson
Yeager just too much for everyone including Costello.
119: Champion: Jake Gonzolaz
Runner Up: Nathan Decker
3rd.: Ricky Ortiz
4th: Jason Kelsey
5th: Brandon Weide
6th: Tyler Rueth
Jake too much speed. Nathan showed a lot of heart and sportsmanship all
tournament. He could of lost his cool against his quarter final opponent but did
not. He let the other guy look like an idiot after Nathan pasted him.
125: Champion: David Howard
Runner Up: Bradley Muri
3rd.: Peter Barnes
4th: Tyler Marshall
5th: Michael Lomsdahlen
6th: Steve Gillis
David has never wrestled Muri before. It was close until Muri made one mistake.
130: Champion: Grant Nakashima
Runner Up: Josh Cristelli
3rd. Joe Edmonds
4th: Joel Anderson
5th: Dustin Chellson
6th: Patrick O'Neil
I could be wrong on 3rd. and 4th. Need to wait for official results come in.
135: Champion: Colt Warren
Runner Up: Brett O'Brien
3rd.vs. 4th Connely White vs. Chris Spurlock
5th. vs. 6th David Mariott vs.Nic D'Agostino
140: Champion: Colby Jones
Runner Up: Chris Wichers
3rd. Ricky Dorward
4th: Keith Hillis
5th vs. 6th Jesse Hayden vs. Shawn Larsen
Ricky gave Colby all he could handle in the semi's.
145: Champion: Craig Jackson
Runner Up: Chris Stewart
3rd. vs. 4th Tony Nicolas vs. Ethan Sandelin
5th vs. 6th Nic Fistolera vs. Chris Yncera
Jackson prevailed from #3 seed.

Wolfe chowed down.
160: Champion: Tony Dorward
Runner Up: Troy Hanson
3rd. vs. 4th McCoy vs. Little
5th vs. 6th Smith vs. Grajewski
Tony is way strong with good shots. Not all muscle anymore.
171: Champion: Brian Horaski
Runner Up: Harris
3rd. vs. 4th Mark Dodge vs. O'Brien
5th vs. 6th Tyler vs. Clark
Horaski #2 seed vs. #1 seed Harris good matchup
189: Champion: Chase Campbell
Runner Up: Ryan Lange
3rd. vs. 4th Kratovil vs. Wagner
5th vs. 6th West vs. Vidmore
215: Champion: Josh Cayson
Runner Up: Jophn Sanchez
3rd. Vs. 4th Sheilds vs.Georgiadis
5th vs. 6th Smeltzer vs. Staaleson
Great overtime battle with Cayson out spinning Sanchez for winning takedown.
275: Champion: Brad Farmer
Runner up: Alex King
3rd. vs. 4th Scott vs. Wroblewski
5th vs. 6th Hornbeck vs. Brown
Forget about it. Farmer wrestles like a 103lber. No joke. His technique and
