Hi Dave,
I have team scores and placers for you but no
brackets.
The rated wrestlers advanced with the exception of
Jason Fairly 125, Clarkston. He lost in the semis to Manuel Plata, Prosser,
8-3 and lost his next match to Lewis Valladeres, Wapato, by 3-2. He finished
fifth. I was expecting Blake Risk, Cheney to beat Plata.
The 145 Championship match was great. Beedle took
an early lead with takedown in the first period and road Romero most of the
period. Romero scored with an escape and a takedown in the second period but
Beetle tied the score with a escape late in the period. Beetle took the lead
with an escape in the third period and both battled for a takedown most of the
period. With the towel boy behind the referee, Romero took Beedle to the mat
for the win. It was the last match of the day and the crowd was roaring. This
was high school wrestling at its best.
