Mat Classic Tournament team match scoring (by sessions/rounds)

You get advancement points in all matches except placing ones. In other words finals for 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8. In those matches the winner gets placement points.

Advancement points in the championship bracket are 2 points, and 1 point in the consolation bracket.

Placement points are awarded as they are earned. So if you make the semifinals you get placement points for 6th place. (the lowest you can finish). Then if you make the finals you get the placement points for 2nd. If you win in the finals there is no advancement points you just get the additional placement points for 1st. So a win in the finals would change your teams score by 4 to 6 points depending on if any bonus points were earned.

16 man bracket with 8 places.
Placement points are this.
1st - 16
2nd - 12
3rd - 9
4th - 7
5th - 5
6th - 3
7th - 2
8th - 1

So the maximum points a person could score would be 6 advancement points plus the 16 placement points. Plus 2 bonus points a match x 4 matches for a total of 30 points.
