Tournament Highlights
Onalaska showed good early season depth with 4 firsts, 2 seconds, 1 third, and 2
fourths. They were lead by returning two time state placer (7th in 2005, 4th in
2006) Quinton Vickaryous. He started a four straight championship run at 145lbs
with a first round pin of state veteran Bryan Cook. Next up at 152 for Onalaska
was Willie Randall who played basketball for the past two years. He came from
behind to pin Josh Widner to win the championship. Then at 160 Cody Lambert kept
the pin string going with a fist minute pin of Cody Taylor. Next up for the
Loggers was Weylin Womack who completed the four straight string with a hard
fought 9-6 win over James Ritchie. Finishing second for Onalaska were state
veterans Josh Leckbee 125 and Rick Woodruff 140. Finishing third for the Loggers
was Shawn Witzel 215. Napavine had a third place from Donny Powe 140. Fourth for
Onalaska was Steven Lian 135 and Travis Russell 160. The Tigers Marc Navarette
125 also finished fourth.
