What’s the deal with online slot tournaments? Are they worth joining, or just a waste of time?

I’m based in Ottawa and usually only play offline poker with friends. But someone at work wouldn’t stop talking about Casino Adrenaline, so I finally gave it a try. Wasn’t expecting much, but I got caught up in a cool slot tournament. There was a leaderboard and everything. Didn’t win the top prize, but I did walk away with some bonus spins and a small cash prize. It’s more fun when there’s a bit of a competition angle.
